Sonic Unleashed Recomp arrives as a new Xbox 360 static recompilation
Hedge-dev has kicked off Sonic Unleashed Recomp, a project aiming to bring the Xbox 360 version of Sonic Unleashed to PC through static recompilation. The effort follows a growing trend of preservation-focused recompilation projects targeting sixth- and seventh-generation console titles, applying the same technique seen in other community-driven ports.
The repository has just gone public under the name hedge-dev/UnleashedRecomp, marking the first public commit for the project. No playable release has been announced yet, but the codebase is now open for the community to follow and contribute to.
