No additional breakdown of changed files or functions was included in this update, but the push signals continued progress on the ongoing effort to produce a matching, human-readable C source reconstruction of the game.
The decompilation scene has turned its sights on one of the Nintendo GameCube's most beloved titles. doldecomp/melee is a newly surfaced project working to reverse-engineer Super Smash Bros. Melee into a matching, human-readable C codebase.
A matching decompilation would open the door to deeper community research, potential ports, and modding tools built directly from source-accurate code rather than binary hacks. The project has recorded its first tracked commit, marking the official start of public development.
