Lollipop Chainsaw Re-Cherry is a newly surfaced open source recompilation project targeting the Xbox 360 version of the 2012 hack-and-slash title developed by Grasshopper Manufacture. The project is hosted on GitHub under the handle MaxDeadBear.
Recompilation projects work by statically converting original game binaries into portable C code that can be compiled and run on modern hardware, bypassing the need for traditional emulation. Re-Cherry follows the same approach that has proven successful for other Xbox 360 titles in recent years. The repository is in its early stages, with the initial commit now publicly available for the community to follow.
