The Ocarina of Time PC port has moved to version 9.3.1, a relatively quiet patch release built from feedback on 9.3.0. Ship of Harkinian's latest build ships for Windows, Linux and Steam Deck (AppImage) and macOS.

Most of the work is housekeeping: typo fixes, a couple of crash fixes and a few randomizer logic gaps, plus a cleanup of the user interface around the win condition revamp, which the team calls particularly important for races.

  • Crash fix when a fairy spawn is unknown
  • Link no longer freezes on forced text skip
  • Win condition tooltip, altar hint and full Triforce draw for the anywhere win condition
  • TCG keys added to the item tracker
  • Ganondorf Lights hint restored
  • Timer now stops on lifting the Triforce instead of warping to credits
  • Bombchu Bowling ammo changeable during the minigame
  • Fixed jump speed limiter while wearing the Bunny Hood
  • Fixed pause menu checkerboarding
  • Fixed extracting from an MQ rom padded to 64MB

The Ocarina of Time PC Port has moved to Dewey Alpha 9.3.0. Ship of Harkinian describes the release as the cumulation of over 500 commits, and it lands on Windows, Linux / Steam Deck, and macOS.

The headline addition is a pair of new presets. Speedrun and Speedrun MQ were designed in collaboration with speedrun.com mods, giving runners a ready-made ruleset instead of a manual setup. Setup instructions remain on the project's setup guide.

Concrete changes in this build:

  • New Speedrun and Speedrun MQ modes.
  • Randomizer shuffles for signs, butterflies, wonder items, beggar, icicles, red ice, rocks, silver rupees, the treasure chest game, Zelda's letter, scarecrow song, and masks.
  • Progressive BGS and Progressive Open Chests, plus a logical bunny hood.
  • Option to block buying shields or tunics in shops until a random one is found.
  • Redesigned wincon options, with triforce pieces awarding different rewards, gates tied to different wincons, and Ganon's boss soul gated separately from his boss key. Gates now grant rewards immediately, so LACS can be a regular check.
  • Starting Items menu is a grid of item icons and covers many more items.
  • Expanded cutscene skips with more accurate time of day handling around the intro skip, Master Sword cutscene, and Sun's Song cutscene.
  • Boss Death skips for all bosses.
  • More minigame settings and instant text.
  • Improved support for large SAF audio packs.
  • Enemy Randomizer gains Flare Dancer, plus options to mitigate enemies falling into pits.

The release also welcomes 23 first-time contributors. A full changelog is available against version 9.2.3.

Ship of Harkinian, the PC port of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, has received a small but important patch. Version 9.2.3, dubbed Ackbar Delta, is available now for Windows, Linux/Steam Deck, and macOS.

This release contains a single targeted fix:

  • Shopsanity soft lock resolved: a bug that could leave players permanently stuck during shopsanity randomizer gameplay has been corrected.

Builds can be downloaded from the project's GitHub releases page, and first-time users can follow the official setup guide at shipofharkinian.com.
